since spring has officially arrived,
i dusted off my blue studded ballet flats
and we climbed out of our hibernative state
to venture downtown.
we ambled through bookshops
& antique shops
before ending up at artisanale
for a yummy vancouver.art.gallery-style lunch of
grilled sandwiches
greens tossed in amazing dressing
& braised leek quiche.
we had planned to settle down for several hours of reading,
when we were politely informed by our server
that the cafe closes early on tuesdays.
our disappointment was made milder
when she handed us each a paper bag
full of scones & muffins
to take away with us.
we decided to check in at our favorite cafe downtown
where the heat is always set to cozy
to do a little reading & writing before heading home
and ordered foamy espresso drinks
(his a latte, mine a cappucino)
that's is so lovely and your photos is sweet
