a cottage weekend.


we left on friday for the cottage
and drove for a few hours
(in traffic)
before arriving at the end of a rocky road.

 the cottage was right on the lake
and we spent the weekend...

relaxing & barbeque-ing much delicious food

playing the game of life

shooting fireworks

enjoying lovely lake views

munching smores by the fire

and having good conversations
with great friends

    my weekend definitely doesn't beat yours. though a highlight was being at an old piano bar with my best friend and an older gentleman trying to strike up a convo with me like this:
    'you look very cosmopolitan. like you could BE somebody. are you anyone? i used to BE somebody, you know..'
